Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the subject adhesive having excellent storage stability and composed of a composition A containing a specific rubber-based organic polymer and an epoxy resin hardener and a composition B containing an epoxy resin, a curing catalyst for the above polymer and a carboxylic acid. CONSTITUTION:The objective adhesive is composed of (A) a composition containing (i) a rubber-based organic polymer (preferably having a number- average molecular weight of 1,000-20,000) having hydroxyl group or hydrolyzable group bonded to silicon atom and at least one Si-containing group crosslinkable by the formation of a siloxane bond and (ii) an epoxy resin hardener (e.g. triethylenetetramine) and (B) a composition containing (iii) an epoxy resin, (iv) a curing catalyst for the component (i) (e.g. tetrabutyl titanate) and (v) a carboxylic acid (preferably a 8-40C higher fatty acid such as caprylic acid).
