PURPOSE: To obtain a sliding resin material having excellent sliding properties, by mixing a thermoplastic resin with graphite.
CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic resin is mixed with graphite. The thermoplastic resin used is preferably polyphenylene oxide, polybutylene phthalate, polyamide, polycarbonate, or polyacetal, and polyacetal is particularly preferable. A copolymer type polyacetal is preferable to a homopolymer type. Although graphite can impart antistatic property or electric conductivity to a sliding material because its specific volume resistance is at most 10-10 time larger than that of the resin material, an amount of 35wt% or above is necessary to impart marked electrical conductivity. A fluorocarbon resin is a component having an effect of further improving the sliding properties improved by graphite and a lubricating oil.
