Title:
VAPORIZED FUEL PROCESSING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0712018
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a vaporized fuel processing device such as preventing vaporized fuel from overflowing by improving adsorbing efficiency and separating efficiency of the vaporized fuel and further forming a frame as small as possible.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of divided layers 101 to 107 are formed in a casing 9, and a flow path sectional area of these divided layers is set to 40cm2 or less. In upper/lower surfaces of the casing 9, a vapor inlet 12, purge ports 131 to 134, atmospheric conduction port 15, new air conduction ports 141 to 143 and two-way valves 18, 20 are provided. When vapor is adsorbed and returned back to a fuel tank 182, the two-way valves 18, 20 are closed, and when vapor is separated to an intake pipe 181, the two-way valves 18, 20 are opened. In this way, a flow path length is lengthened at adsorbing time and shortened at separating time, to improve adsorbing efficiency and separating efficiency. Since the flow path sectional area is 40cm2 or less, a returning amount to the fuel tank 182 of vapor is increased, to prevent the vapor from easily overflowing from the casing 9.
