PURPOSE: To provide an external surface-sterilizing device which can evenly, efficiently and easily perform a sterilizing process of an external surface of even a large sized object to be sterilized such as a PET bottle, etc.

CONSTITUTION: The whole body of an external surface-sterilizing device is covered by a tunnel-shape chamber 1. In this chamber 1, a sterilizing zone A with a sterilizing mist-jetting part 3, and a drying zone B which is formed continuing to the sterilizing zone A and has a drying hot air-jetting part 4 are formed by an air balance which is formed by the arrangement of an air- discharging port 5. In the sterilizing zone A, a germicide mist (m) is jetted on the external surface of an object to be sterilized (b), and in the drying zone B, hot air to evaporate the germicide mist (m) adhered in a thin film state on the external surface of the object to be sterilized (b) and dry the object to be sterilized (b), is jetted.
