PURPOSE: To provide a primer solution composition capable of giving high adhesive force between dentin and any of various kinds of materials without the need for acid treatment of the dentin.
CONSTITUTION: This primer solution composition for applying on the surface of dentin contains (A) at least one kind of metallic compound selected from iron compounds, copper compounds and cobalt compounds, (B) an acidic group- bearing polymerizable monomer, and (C) an acidic group-free polymerizable monomer. The composition is applied on the surface of dentin followed by coating the resultant surface with a curing composition containing a trialkylboron or a partial oxide thereof and a polymerizable monomer to form an adhesive layer on the dentin surface.
