PURPOSE: To produce dust free enzyme-containing particles by suspending granular core particles having a specific longest diameter in a fluidized bed dryer and spraying an aqueous slurry containing a specific amount of an enzyme onto the core particles.

CONSTITUTION: A granular core material, readily dispersible or soluble in water and having 150-2,000 μm longest diameter is introduced into a fluidized bed dryer and an air stream is introduced to retain the temperature of the particles at ≤50°C and suspend therein. On the other hand, an aqueous slurry, containing 15-30 wt.% enzyme soluble in water and having 10-5,000 cP viscosity at ambient temperature is then prepared and then sprayed onto the suspended core particles to thereby coat the core particle surfaces with the enzyme in an amount capable of providing the enzyme activity. A solution of a film-forming and water-soluble macro-molecular coating agent is then sprayed onto the suspended core particles coated with the enzyme and then dried to form a continuous layer of the film- forming material on the particles. Thereby, 50-55 wt.% enzyme and the film- forming material are applied to the core particle surfaces.
