PURPOSE: A resin composition excellent in adhesion to metals, etc., capable of forming films excellent in processability and suitable for use in paints, etc., prepared by mixing a (carboxyl group-containing) polyolefin with a specified branched epoxy resin and a curing agent.
CONSTITUTION: A branched epoxy resin is prepared by reacting (A) a compound having two glycidyl groups (e.g., bisphenol A diglycidyl ether) with (B) a compound having at least three glycidyl groups (e.g., novolak epoxy resin) and (C) an at least dihydric phenol (e.g., bisphenol A). Then, the produced branched epoxy resin oramixture thereof with an unbranched epoxy resin is mixed with a polyolefin or a carboxyl group-containing polyolefin and a curing component for the epoxy resin to obtain the purpose resin composition.
