Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a compact and inexpensive lens barrel of an image pickup optical system by using a physical property element to adjust the quantity of light made incident on an image pickup surface. CONSTITUTION:A camera is provided with a camera control circuit 100, a recording part 101 which is electrically connected to the circuit 100, and a power supply 102. At the same time, the camera is electrically connected to a zooming motor 8 which drives a cam barrel 4, focusing motor 7 which drives a holding mirror barrel 2, a physical property element 9, an image pickup element 10, an electronic viewfinder 12, a power switch 14, and a zoom operating part 15 respectively. The exposure value is controlled so that quantity of light made incident on the element 10 is constant when the quantity of the transmitted light of the element 9 is controlled by an exposure value control circuit.
