PURPOSE: To provide a sound muffling chamber cooperative arranged with an air conditioner in which a high sound muffling function against noise generated during air blowing operation and a loss resistance in the chamber is reduced.
CONSTITUTION: An anti-nose wall member 15 at an air blowing port of a blower is substantially in flush with the inner surface of a sound muffling member 12 of a rear surface wall 9. The front surface wall 7 is substantially in flush with a bottom wall 5 and a nose wall 14 of the blowing-out port 3 of the blower as well as the lower end of an air blowing-out port 8. A punched metal having a small hole is bent and then fixed. As a result, eddy flow produced near the bottom wall of the sound muffling chamber at the blowing-out port of the blower is eliminated so as to reduce a loss resistance and at the same time a high speed region of the blowing-out port of the blower may form an air passage near the rear wall, resulting in that an air passage is elongated and a high sound muffling effect can be attained.
