Abstract:
PURPOSE:To separate and purify vitamin K2 isomers, by adding an organic solvent, e.g. lower alcohol, soluble in the vitamin K2 isomers thereto and using supercritical fluid chromatography. CONSTITUTION:Vitamin K2 isomers are industrially separated and purified. In the process, supercritical fluid) is used. An organic solvent, e.g. lower alcohol, isopropyl ether, methylene chloride, hexane, etc., soluble in the vitamin K2 isomers is added to a sample and the vitamin K2 isomers are separated and purified. Each fraction of vitamin K2 trans-isomer and cis-isomer can be separated and returned to an ordinary pressure state to convert the supercritical fluid into vapor, which is readily removed. Thereby the aimed substances can be readily obtained.
