Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform the feed of washing liquid to two systems with the aid of a single pump by a method wherein a bypass flow passage through which a part of washing liquid is caused to bypass if formed in a position in a flow passage running along the outer periphery of a pump chamber, and a bypass flow rate is different according to the forward/reverse drive state of an impeller. CONSTITUTION:A washing liquid suction port 12 is formed in the central part of the side part of a housing 10 formed approximately in the shape of a cylinder. First and second outlets 14 and 16 connected to nozzles mounted to a rear and a front glass are formed below the washing liquid suction port. Through forward drive of an impeller 22 with the aid of a motor, washing liquid in a pump chamber 24 is delivered through a first outlet 14 after the flow of it through a valve 40, and through reverse drive of the impeller 22, the washing liquid is delivered through the second outlet 16 after the flow of it through a valve 42. In this case, a bypass flow passage 50 through which a part of washing liquid flowing through a flow passage 30 of a pump chamber 24 is caused to bypass is provided. A bypass flow rate during forward of the impeller 22 is differed from that during reverse thereof.
