Title:
INK DOT PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6027558
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To ensure a clear printing even under a continuous driving of needles by forming a magnet section at the tip of a plurality of needles for transferring a magnetic ink to a recording section.

CONSTITUTION: Tips 16 of needles 15 are arranged vertically in one row and a magnet section 17 is formed at the end thereof. The magnet section 17 is magnetized with magnetic poles arranged along the axis of the needles 15. When an electromagnetic coil 18 is electrically energized, a magnetic ink 22 is attracted into a magnetic field slit 19 to form a magnetic ink film 24 while attaching to the tips 16 of the needles 15 positioned within the magnetic field slit 19. When the printing of a character or the like by gathering dots requires a continuous driving of the same needle 15, the magnet section 17 provided at the tips 16 of the needles 15 allows returned magnetic ink 22 to creep around and attach to the ends thereof quickly. This keeps the amount of the magnetic ink 22 so uniform as to ensure a clear printing.
