PURPOSE: The titled composition, prepared by incorporating an allantoin with an antiplasminic agent, amino acid type or nucleic acid type compound as a flavoring agent and further sodium chloride and/or potassium chloride, and having improved preventing effect on the periodontosis and improved feeling of use and high preserving power.
CONSTITUTION: A composition for the oral cavity prepared by incorporating a composition containing (A) an allantoin and/or an antiplasminic agent, e.g. tranexamic acid or -aminocaproic acid, as an active constituent and (B) an amino acid type compound, e.g. l-glutamic acid or l-aspartic acid, as a flavoring agent for suppressing the bitterness or astringency of the component (A) and/or a nucleic acid type compound, e.g. inosinic acid or guanylic acid, as a flavoring agent for suppressing the bitterness or astringency of the component (A) with (C) sodium chloride and/or potassium chloride. The amounts of the respective components based on the total composition are preferably within the following ranges: 0.03W3wt% component (A), 0.001W0.3wt% component (B) and 2W20wt% component (C).
