PURPOSE: To aim at the promotion of labor-saving for outfitting work preparing the paper slice of a web, by setting an outfitting device, which automatically prepares the web for paper splicing in advance, inside a paper feeding line, in case of a captioned system suitable for use in a rotary press.

CONSTITUTION: When a web 1 is fed to a rotary press paper feeding part B in a double-row setup, the web 1 stored in a paper magazine 12 is mounted on a bogie truck 5 through a delivery slat conveyor 3 and a dolly trancer 4. This bogie truck 5 is traveled along a paper feeding line 6 and when arriving at the specified position of a web outfitting chamber A, it is led into a wet outfitter 7 part by means of a calling feeder 9' for outfitting use and stopped thereat. At this time, the web 1 is supported by the outfitter 7, then the tip of the web 1 is cut off into a specified form and thereby tabbing (a) and pasting (b) processes are made to take place. Afterward, the processed web 1' is mounted on the bogie truck 5 again and fed to a paper feeding part B along the paper feeding line 6, thus set down to a paper feeding trident 2.
