PURPOSE: To avoid the increase of a voltage which is applied to a motor driving circuit when the rotation of a motor is switched from the rotation of large power consumption to the rotation of small power consumption.

CONSTITUTION: An operating circuit 22 calculates a detected voltage VS which is supplied from an FG 9 and indicates the revolution of a reel motor 2 and a control signal VE which is supplied from a filter amplifier 7 and indicates the deviation from the target value of the detected voltage of a tape tension and generates an operation result voltage Vref. A voltage controller 23 controls a power supply voltage which is introduced to the power supply input terminal of a motor driving IC 8 in accordance with the operation result voltage Vref. With this constitution, the voltage controller 23 reduces a DC voltage V'CC supplied to the motor driving IC 8 when the rotation of the motor 2 is switched to a low revolution rotation with small power consumption, so that a voltage corresponding to the decrease of a voltage applied to the reel motor 2 is not applied to the internal circuit of the motor driving IC 8.
