PURPOSE: To provide an HDTV transmitter which can rationally perform the remote monitoring of many spots where the HDTV cameras are used.
CONSTITUTION: Plural HDTV cameras 1... are connected together and the image signals are switched by a selector 4. A selector 5 switches the camera control command signals based on the switch signal sent from a transmission control part 3. The output of the selector 4, i.e., the wide band signal acquired through the camera 1 is coded by a coding part 2 by the multiplex sampling. This coded signal is turned into a transmission signal that undergoes the reduction of the signal band width and the band compression and then sent to a transmission line 7. In such constitution, just a single transmitter suffices for plural cameras 1.
