PURPOSE: To make operation cost low and facilitate maintenance and control by using a solar battery as the drive power source of a suction means such as a fan for sucking gas containing malodorous components.

CONSTITUTION: The intake port 4 at the lower part of a support 2a is communicated with the upper space of a manhole 1 through a conduit 6 disposed in the support 2a. A fan F rotatory-driven by a motor M is provided at the upper part of a deodorizing tank 8, and power is supplied to the motor M from a storage battery E charged by a solar panel 3. The storage battery E is charged by the solar panel 3 during the day, and when a switch is turned on, the motor M rotates the fan F. Gas in the manhole 1 is thereby led to the deodorizing tank 8 through the intake pipe 7 and discharged into the atmosphere from an exhaust port after being subjected to deodorizing treatment.
