Title:
BARREL GRINDING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5924957
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To discharge a media residue without causing the generation of its blocking, by providing an opening part connected to a through hole in the bottom face of a barrel tank secured to a tilted rotary shaft equipping the through hole and mounting a porous member, whose central part is protruded upward, to said opening part.

CONSTITUTION: A barrel tank 16 is secured to a rotary shaft 12, tilted at 30° and equipped with a discharge passage 52 extending through the core of the shaft, and driven to be rotated through a reduction gear 18 and a V-belt 20, and a work 42 is ground by media. In this barrel tank 16, a conical porous member 54 protruded upward is mounted to a discharge passage engaging groove 58 through a spring material 56 so as to cover an opening part communicated to the discharge passage 52 in the bottom part of the tank 16. This porous member 54 allows a media residue contained in the media to pass through many holes of the porous member when the media located in an upper part of the barrel tank 16 are moved to a bottom part of the tank at stopping of rotary driving after prescribed barrel grinding, and the media residue never causes its blocking by being pressed and is effectively discharged to the passage 52.
