Abstract:
The winding machine has two locally fixed support rollers (1,2) together forming a winding bed for holding a paper reel (3). One of the support rollers (2) is looped round by the paper web (4) during operation whilst the other (1) is lowered relative to the first. This second roller has a sleeve which can be deformed substantially more heavily than the sleeve of the first support roller. The diameter of the second roller is about 1.05 to 2 times the diameter of the first roller. The outer layer of the first support roller has an elastic sleeve.
