Abstract:
PURPOSE: To define a system and method for authenticating an executable file in a distributed computer network.
CONSTITUTION: The selection of a random or pseudo random numeric value pair is started by a job dispatcher. The job dispatcher generates a check code for each section of a file defined by the numeric value pair by using the master copy of a verified file. The check code is made contact with a partner process, and compared with a check code derived following an executable file in a server work station or a computer.
