Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent illicit use of a card by simple structure. SOLUTION: By this method, when a transaction is performed by using the card such as a prepaid card on which proper information such as an ID code and a varying information varying with the transaction such as balance of use is recorded, the varying information of the card is set as corresponding to the proper information and recorded in a magnetic disk 42 of a host device 40 and the proper information and the varying information recorded in the card is read by a reading head 27 of a terminal device 20 before the transaction is performed. Simultaneously, the read varying information and the varying information of the proper information which is the varying information recorded in the magnetic disk 42 and corresponding to the above read proper information are collated by a collating means. The transaction is permitted only when both varying information coincide with each other.
