Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate the detection of a control channel by detecting a control channel in use based on a control channel having been used precedingly by a 2nd channel detection section. CONSTITUTION:A reception electric field is measured for each channel by scanning all channels in a channel band of a cellular system. Then a channel with a strongest electric field is set among the measured reception electric field strength. After the channel is selected, reception data are detected continuously till an overflow of a 3sec timer takes place. Upon the receipt of the data, the reception channel detection processing is terminated. If the data cannot be received, a channel with a 2nd strongest electric field strength is selected. Then the data are detected by the 2nd strongest electric field strength channel and when data are received, the received data are analyzed. On the other hand, when the data cannot be received within a specified time, the control channel for preceding reception is selected.
