PURPOSE: To provide the automatic heating an grinding device for optical connectors capable of automatically heating and grinding optical connector ferrules simply by setting these ferrules.

CONSTITUTION: This automatic heating and grinding device for the optical connectors is constituted to include a heater 8 for heating and curing the adhesive for adhering the optical fiber inserted in the optical connector ferrule 1, a grinder 9 for grinding the end face of the optical connector ferrule 1, an inspecting section 10 for inspecting the defectiveness or nondefectiveness of the end face of the optical fiber ferrule 1, a pin fixing base 3 for clamping and fixing the optical connector ferrule 1, a ferrule transfer base 4 for moving this pin fixing base 3 between the heater 8, a grinder 9 and the inspecting section 10 in the state of holding the base, a transfer mechanism 7 for transferring this ferrule transfer base 4 in such a manner that the ferrule transfer base successively face the heater 8, the grinder 9 and the inspecting section 10 and a feeding mechanism for relatively feeding the optical connector ferrule 1 toward the heater 8, the grinder 9 and the inspecting section 10.
