Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to estimate input torque accurately by inputting the detected output torque and gear ratio of a gear-type speed changer and the input number-of-rotation of a hydraulic power transmission apparatus into a control unit, and operating the characteristics of the hydraulic power transmission apparatus. CONSTITUTION:Solenoid valves 5 undergo duty control with a control unit 7 housing a microcomputer, and speed changing hydraulic oil pressure is controlled. There are various kinds of sensors as follows. An engine speed sensor 10 detects the input number-of-rotation of a torque converter 3 which is a hydraulic power transmission apparatus and connected to the output shaft of an engine 1. A number-of-rotation sensor 11 for the output of the torque converter detects the output number-of-rotation of the torque converter 3. A magnetostriction- type torque sensor 12 which is attached to an output shaft 6 of a gear-type speed changer 4 detects the output torque. A gear-ratio sensor 13 detects the gear ratio of the gear-type speed changer 4. The control unit 7 operates the characteristic value of the torque converter 3 based on the signals inputted from the sensors 10, 11, 12 and 13. The characteristic value corresponding to the speed ratio which is stored in a RAM is corrected and rewritten with the operated characteristic value.
