PURPOSE: To input light both to a copying and a picture input lens during picture recording, to perform signal processing by a picture reading element, etc., when necessary, and to perform exposure to laser light, by providing the picture input lens and picture reading element in parallel to the copying lens.
CONSTITUTION: The copying lens 27 is provided in a dark box 31 having an exposure hole 30, the picture input lens 32 is fitted at a position off an optical axis in parallel to the lens 27, and the picture reading element is attached to a wall plate 33 stood right behind the lens 32. When reflected light from an original surface 23 is incident to the lens 32, it is read by the element 34, whose signal is stored in a memory, etc., or outputted to a semiconductor laser 35; the laser light emitted from the semiconductor laser 35 is scanned on a drum 29 through a polygon 36 and an fQ lens 37. Further, an exposure slit 38 is provided with a light shield plate to prevent light leakage to the drum.
