Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide golden luster to the surface of yellow or yellowish plastics by introducing gaseous Ar and a little gaseous O2 and carrying out the reactive sputtering of Ti, Ni or Cu.

CONSTITUTION: Yellow or yellowish plastics such as yellow ABS resin is used as a plastic material. Gaseous Ar and a little gaseous O2 are introduced, and the reactive sputtering of Ti, Ni or Cu is carried out to form a film of Ti, Ni or Cu oxide of 200W300 thickness on the surface of the plastic material. Thus, golden luster is provided.
