Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make an exhaust gas purifier compact by reducing the pipe lines of valves which cut the secondary air of an exhaust system during the deceleration and acceleration of an engine and a high speed operation. CONSTITUTION:Two valves 38, 39 driven by two diaphragms 46, 53 are integrated into a valve body V, to which a solenoid transfer valve 57 is fitted to form a unit. When an engine is decelerated, a throttle valve Vth is rapidly closed, and due to the large negative pressure of a suction pipe the diaphragm 46 is sucked through a hole 65 and pipe CV, then the valve 38 is closed to cut the secondary air. During a high speed operation, a switch 71 is closed and a solenoid transfer valve 62 is sucked to open a hole 59, then the atmospheric air from a pipe 31 is fed into the chamber b' of the diaphragm 53 through a pipe 67, and the valve 39 is closed to cut the secondary air. When the engine is accelerated, the transfer valve 62 opens a hole 58, but the negative pressure is too small to suck the diaphragm 53, and the valve 39 is closed to cut the secondary air.
