PURPOSE: To provide an automatic door in compact configuration, with no emission of noise at opening and shutting, and equipped with high safety and facilitate automation of an existing door.
CONSTITUTION: A door 12 is made of a non-magnetic conductive material such as aluminum. A unitized magnetic induction motor unit 14 is installed on a frame 11. The motor unit 14 is equipped with a cylindrical magnet 31 in which N-poles and S-poles are arranged alternately. When this magnet 31 rotates, a horizontal thrust force F is generated in the door 12 due to the magnetic interaction with the magnet 31 in accordance with the law of electromagnetic induction. With this thrust force F the door 12 moves left on the guide rail 13, and thereby the opening 11a opens. The magnet 31 rotates reversely, and the door 12 moves right and the opening 11a shuts.
