Abstract:
PURPOSE:To select plural modes without taking the eyes off an observation part by detecting the sight of a photographer who gazes at selection indexes of various modes and indicating the detection, and executing the selected modes. CONSTITUTION:An image forming lens 19, an ocular 17, and three vertical line image sensors 1a, 1b, and 1c are juxtaposed as a sight detecting device in a single-lens reflex camera and the direction of the sight is detected from the angle of rotation and the quantity of displacement of the sight. The sight detecting device detects which of range finding visual field marks d1 - d5, an exposure control mode, a focus mode, and a lateral position on an information display plate 15 in the finder the photographer gazes at and an index part in the sight direction is blinked to confirm a mode selection. Then the stop 10' and shutter 14 are controlled through a microprocessor 20 according to the various photographic modes to take pictures.
