PURPOSE: To provide a back board holder for a picture frame hung on a picture frame in an independent state and which presses and holds the back board in a hung state and capable of easily performing hanging work on the picture frame.

CONSTITUTION: This holder is equipped with a fixing part 2 loaded on the picture frame 10, and an elastic piece 3 which presses the back board of an article to be housed formed in curved shape on an upper plane from one terminal of the fixing part 2, and a step part 4 connected to the connecting piece 18 of the frame 10 is provided on the other terminal of the fixing part 2, and a recessed groove 5 in which the outside piece 15 and inner side piece 16 of the frame 10 are fitted by housing comprehensively is provided on the upper face of the fixing part 2, and a holding piece 6 which holds the outside piece 15 of the frame 10 therebetween is provided on the upper face on the elastic piece 3 side of the recessed groove 5.
