Title:
GAS LASER GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5929481
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To simplify the adjustment of axis-matching of a laser beam by a method wherein the titled laser generator is constituted in such a manner that it is coupled in M-form using a coupling tube provided with a fixed reflection mirror and a freely moving reflection mirror on both ends so that a beam of light is reflected at an acute angle at each end of a plurality of resonant tubes which are arranged in parallel, thereby enabling to reduce the length of the entire device and to make the device smaller in size.

CONSTITUTION: A high voltage is applied to the mixed gas supplied to resonant tubes 11A and 11B, the carbonic acid gas molecule in the gas is excited, the generated beam of light passes both resonant tubes 11A and 11B through the intermediary of a coupling tube 12, the beam of light is amplified by performing a reciprocating movement in these tubes repeatedly and radiated from a semitransparent mirror 5 as a laser beam. In this case, as reflection mirrors 13 and 14 are installed on both sides in such a manner that they are attached close to an electrode, the space corresponding to the deadspace of the conventional device can be reduced. Aslo, as the mirrors 13 and 14 are installed in fixed state and the mirror 15 is movably installed, the angle of incidence and reflection can be adjusted freely and also the acute angle can be obtained for incidenting and reflecting beams of light, thereby enabling to perform the axis-matching of laser beam between the mirrors 13∼15 relatively easily.
