PURPOSE: To simplify the deodorizing apparatus and the dust-collecting apparatus, and to use the energy effectively in the preparation of fish meal, by using the polluted gas used as a meal cooling means for the carrier gas of an indirect- heating dryer.
CONSTITUTION: An indirect-heating dryer 1 is charged with press cake and stick-water. Air heat-exchanged with hot dried meal in the meal cooler 3 is introduced into the dryer through the suction pipe 6a, and sent together with the steam generated in the dryer 1 through the dust-collector 7a and the exhaust fan 10 to the humidifier 14, in which the air is made to contact with the hot drain 15 generated in the multiple effect evaporator 25 to remove the dust and to effect the humidification. The humidified air is introduced into the indirect- heating boiler 16 of the evaporating and concentrating apparatus for the concentration of the stickwater, and subjected to heat-exchange. The most part of the stickwater is concentrated by circulating between the heating boiler 16 and the evaporation chamber 19.
