PURPOSE: To decrease the number of parts, to decrease the assembling processes, and to increase the rigidity of the assembled structure, by bending divided housings and clusters with a thin hinge as a bending support, and connecting and assembling them.

CONSTITUTION: A lower housing 3A and a lower cluster 2A are combined to form a unitary body and a structure 9A is obtained. An upper housing 3B and an upper cluster 2B are combined to form a unitary body, and a structure 9B is obtained. The structures 9A and 9B are linked by the thin hinge 10 so as to form a unitary body. In this case a meter 6 is provided in the housing 3A. With the hinge 10 as the bending support, the structures 9A and 9B are rotated and bent in the connecting direction. Pawls 2b... are engaged with engaging holes 2c.... In this series of the processes, the housings 3A and 3B and the clusters 2A and 2B are connected, respectively, and the meter housings and the clusters are assembled.
