Title:
SWITCHING REGULATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5835616
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the power loss due to a driving circuit, by supplying a DC input voltage to the driving circuit when a DC output voltage is lower than the DC input voltage and supplying the DC output voltage to the driving circuit when the DC output voltage reaches a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:The output pulse from a controlling circuit 13 drives and controls an inverter circuit 10 through a driving circuit 12 to keep a DC output voltage E0 constant. When a switching regulator is started, the DC output voltage E0 of a rectifying circuit 11 becomes 0V, and a prescribed bias is applied across the base and the emitter of a transistor TR15, and the TR15 is turned on, and a DC input voltage Ei is supplied to the circuit 12. When the voltage E0 of the circuit 11 reaches a prescribed value after the switching regulator is started, and TR15 is biased backward and is turned off by the voltage E0, and the voltage E0 is supplied as the driving power to the circuit 12.
