PURPOSE: To obtain a compound containing fluorine, useful as a surfactant, and having improved characteristics, by reacting a novel perfluoroalkenyl aryl ether with a compound having a hydrophilic group.
CONSTITUTION: A hexafluoropropene oligomer is reacted with an aromatic compound having at least one or more hydroxyl groups to give the aimed novel perfluoroalkenyl aryl ether of formula I (X is Cl or Br; Ar is aromatic group; Q is carbonyl, methylene or ethylene; n is an integer 1W3), which is then reacted with a compound of formula II (Y' is carboxy, sulfonic acid or a salt thereof or dialkylamino; R1 is H or lower alkyl; l is an integer 1W6) to afford the aimed compound containing the fluorine of formula III.
EFFECT: The compound has special performances such as the ability to reduce the surface tension, improved chemical and heat resistance, oil repellency, mold release properties, preventing action on the redeposition of oil and foam stabilizing action, etc.
