PURPOSE: To obtain double-layered microcapsules that consists of a hydrophobic liquid as the core substance, a peptide as the inner layer and an ester plasticizer as the outer layer, thus showing good storability for a long time, because of its low hydroscopicity and easy desintegration with high flexibility.
CONSTITUTION: A hydrophobic liquid is dispersed in a peptide solution, and the peptide is coagulated or dried to prepare a peptide powder containing the hydrophobic liquid. The powder is dispersed in a solution containing ethylcellulose and alkyl ester, the solvent is removed by drying to form the double-layered microcapsules composed of the hydrophobic liquid as the core substance, the peptide as the inner layer and the ethylcellulose as the outer layer. The resultant microcapsules are not only good in the touch and appearance of the remaining layers but also expected to develop the effect of the remaining peptide. The peptide is preferably a fibroin peptide of 3W50 aminoacid polymerization degree on the average and the weight ratio of the peptide to the ethylcellulose is (2W 50)/1.
