Title:
APPARATUS FOR MEASURING VISCOSITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6036934
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain viscosity of a fluid with high accuracy by separating and removing vibration components except the non-vibrating frequency and obtaining the signal formed by only the viscosity resistance.

CONSTITUTION: An oscillator 11 feeds the resonance frequency at which the entire part of a vibration system vibrates at a natural frequency to an amplifer 10 which amplifies said frequency and inputs AC current to an excitation coil 7a. An excitation part 7 vibrates a vibrator 3. The vibrator 3 is in a liquid 1 and receives the viscosity resistance thereof. The light from a light source 12 is shielded by a light shielding plate 5a and the boundary between darkness and brightness enters a photoelectric transducer 13. The analog voltage corresponding to the quantity of the detected light is outputted from a control part 14 and the signal consisting principally of the resonance frequency is inputted to a digital voltmeter 17. The amplitude E of the vibrator 3 relating only to the viscosity resistance in the flowing liquid is thus obtd. The physical quantity η.ρ of viscosity and density is calculated from the amplitude Ea of the vibrates in air and measured amplitude value E.
