PURPOSE: To provide a cash register having high operation efficiency and capable of preventing the generation of an error in a change amount by smoothly executing the discharge of a change and the charge of received coins.
CONSTITUTION: When a coin receiving/delivering part 74 in a change discharging device 71 built in a cash register separates and delivers received coins one by one, a coin identifying part 75 identifies the validity and sort of each delivered coin and carries out the identified coin and a coin distributing part 76 distributes the coin judged at its sort by the coin identifying part 75 in each sort. A coin storing/discharging part 77 stores the coin distributed by the distributing part 76 in each sort, and at the time of discharging a change, counts up the number of coins to be delivered and discharges the counted coins.
