PURPOSE: To give a parallel shift to an optical lens barrel and in a position almost vertical to the face of a disk, by giving an electromagnetic control to the shift of an optical pickup lens barrel supported movably via a flexible support member and at a place close to the centroidal face of said lens barrel.

CONSTITUTION: An optical pickup lens barrel 1 houses a condenser lens, etc. which can freely have a 3-dimentional parallel shift by means of channel-shaped flexible support members 2aW2d of rubber, metal, etc. The coils 3aW3e are mounted to the barrel 1 to apply the force to the part close to the center of gravity of the barrel 1. These coils 3aW3c are controlled by magnets 4bW4e, and an electromagnetic control is given to the shift of the barrel 1 at the place close to the face of the center of gravity of the barrel 1. As a result, an optical lens barrel can be shifted in parallel and in a position almost vertical to the face of a disk. Thus an excellent optical pickup device is obtained.
