PURPOSE: To decrease the amount of transmission information, by transmitting an optimum coding word data at first, and decoding the encoded pattern data at a terminal of the like for performing optimum encoding to the pattern information having various properties.
CONSTITUTION: A code word data is transmitted to a line connecting terminal 10 ahead the encoded pattern data. When this input data is given to an information discriminating section 12 through a terminal 10 and a line control section 11, the succeeding data is stored in a memory section 14 of the encoded word dara based on the data identifier added to the head of data. When the encoded pattern data is inputted succeedingly with the identifier, this data is given to a decoder 13 at the discriminating section 12. The decoder 13 decodes the inputted encoding pattern data and converts it into original pattern information while referencing the memory section 14 of the encoding word data and gives it to a storage memory section 15 of the pattern information. The information written in the memory section is displayed on a display 4 via a display control section 16.
