Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable optically inspecting waste thread generated at the edge of a package.
CONSTITUTION: To a package inspection device inspecting waste thread 14 stood from the edge 12 of a package P, a floodlight 10 emitting laser light L of horizontal slit shape apart from and in parallel to the edge 12 of the package P is provided. Also, a light receptor 11 to receive the slit shape laser light L from the floodlight 10, a means 13 to rotate the package P and a waste thread detection means A detecting waste thread from the output of the light receptor 11, are provided.
