Abstract:

PURPOSE:To prevent a breakdown of an element at the starting time by generating a pulse which controls ON or OFF of two semiconductor switches of a regulator so that the pulse width of the pulse at the starting time becomes equal to that of the pulse after starting. CONSTITUTION:A voltage from a DC power source 1 is inputted to a regulator 6 which has switching transistors 8, 9 and a transformer 7, thereby supplying electric power to a load 17. A J-K flip-flop 20 which outputs first and second main reference pulses according to a clock pulse signal and a monostable multivibrator 21 which outputs a pulse width shorter than the pulse width of the signal are provided, the output of a D flip-flop 28 which receives the outputs from the flip- flop 20 and the multivibrator 21 and a command signal is inputted to gate circuits 23, 24, thereby controlling the transistors 8, 9. Accordingly, the pulse width of the pulse at the starting time can be equalized to that of the control pulse signal after starting, thereby preventing the breakdown of the transistor at the starting time.
