PURPOSE: To facilitate a working process and to mass-produce quartz oscillators, by using two holding plates with plural holding pawls which come into contact with electrodes of quartz oscillating plates and hold the oscillating plates.

CONSTITUTION: Electrodes 12 and 13 provided on both surfaces of a quartz oscillating plate 11 are separated partially to form electrode end parts 12a∼12c, and 13a∼13c. Two holding plates 22 and 23, on the other hand, are equipped with holding pawls 22a∼22c, and 23a∼23c corresponding to those electrode end parts, and also have terminals 22f and 23f. The holding pawls 22a∼22c come into contact with the electrode end parts 12a∼12c, and the holding pawls 23a∼23c come into contact with the electrode end parts 13a∼13c, clamping the quartz oscillating plate 11. Thus, the working process is facilitated, and therefore quartz oscillators are mass-produced.
