Title:
DUPLICATE MATERIAL FOR THERMAL RECORDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5851193
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a duplicate material free of set-off defect of ink on back side and having a heat-sensitive chromogenic face capable of clear-cut printing by providing a heat-sensitve chromogenic layer on a base film containing a white plgment and also a heat-meltable ink layer on the opposide side.

CONSTITUTION: A heat-sensitive chromogenic layer (e.g., an aqueous dispersion composed of a dye precursor, e.g., crystal violet, etc., a developer, e.g., phenol, etc. a sensitizer, e.g., stearic acid amide etc., and an adhesive, e.g., PVA, etc., together with a pigment, e.g., TiO2, etc., as needed) is coated on a base film (e.g., of polyimide, polyester, etc.) containing a white pigment (e.g., rutile type TiO2, etc. by a coater and then smoothened by supercalender or the like,) and then a heat-meltable ink layer (e.g., wax type carbon ink layer having a melting point of 50W85°C, etc.,) is provided on the opposide side of the base film to obtain a duplicate material for thermal recording. Thus, even when a thin base film of a thickness of 8W25μ is used, no set-off defect of ink on the back side occurs and the whiteness of the heat-sensitive chromogenic face is high. Therefore, clear-cut printing can be obtained.
