Abstract:
PURPOSE:To whirl air-fuel mixture to vaporize a fuel oil drop by heat of a heating part so as to keep the air-fuel ratio properly by interposing a vortex forming chamber between a carburetor and an air-fuel mixture distributing passage, and laying an inlet passage and an outlet passage along the inner peripheral tangential direction and the rotation central axis of the vortex forming chamber respectively. CONSTITUTION:The principal part of an intake device is so constructed that a carburetor 1 is communicated with plural intake ports 3a-3c, respectively through an air-fuel mixture distributing passage 2. In this case, a circular vortex forming chamber 4 is interposed between the carburetor 1 and the air-fuel mixture distributing passage 2. An inlet passage 5 of the vortex forming chamber 4 connected to the carburetor 1 is laid along the tangential direction in the inner peripheral surface 6 of the vortex forming chamber 4. On the other hand, an outlet passage 7 of the vortex forming chamber 4 connected to the air-fuel mixture distributing passage 2 is laid along the central axis of rotation of the vortex forming chamber 4. Thus, the air-fuel mixture 11 supplied from the carburetor 1 is whirled in the vortex forming chamber 4, and a fuel oil drop 10 is favorably vaporized by such whirling, so that good air-fuel mixture 11 not containing fuel oil drop is supplied to the air-fuel mixture distributing passage 2.
