Abstract:
PURPOSE: To hold a shape of a roll whose abrasion has advanced, to an almost suitable shape, by rotating a rolling roll in the rolling line, and jetting highly pressurized water to a part to be ground, on the surface of its roll.
CONSTITUTION: A rolling roll is rotated, highly pressurized water is jetted toward a part to be ground, on the surface of its roll, and its part is ground by water. Pressure of the highly pressurized water is decided depending on a quality of material of the roll, and a necessary grinding speed, but 50W500kg/mm2 is suitable. When this method is utilized, a shape of the roll can be held to a suitable shape which has been set in the beginning.
