Title:
ELECTROOPTICAL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0643495
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To double a resistance value and to approximately half a capacity by providing at least a pair of nonlinear elements driving pixel electrodes in series.

CONSTITUTION: A lateral MIM element is constituted of a first conductor 8, an insulating layer 3a on the flank of a conductor 2 and a second conductor 2. The second nonlinear element S2 has the conductors 2, 4 respectively as the first and second conductors. The lateral MIM element is constituted of this first conductor 2, the insulating layer 3a on the flank of the conductor 2 and the second conductor 4. The first and second nonlinear elements S1, S2 are provided in series between an inter-element wiring 9 and the pixel electrode 5. The route of the signal past a pair of these nonlinear elements S1, S2 passes the extension part of the conductor 8 of the inter-element wiring 9 from this conductor and the first nonlinear element S1 constituted of the insulator 3a and the conductor 2 and is then inputted through the second nonlinear element S2 to the pixel electrode 5.
