Abstract:
To form a horizontal stack (4), the printed products (9) are pushed onto the rearmost printed product (9') in each case. For this purpose, a conveyor (12) having at least one circulating chain (13) is provided on which carrier lugs (17) are attached at regular intervals. The latter act on the trailing edges (9b) of the printed products (9). A plurality of pressing rollers (39) which are attached to a supporting disc (37) are provided for pressing the stack (4). Said supporting disc is driven rotating synchronously with the conveyor chain (13) in the clockwise direction (D). A pressing roller (39') presses on the rearmost product (9'), in each case, of the stack (4). The pressing roller (39') acting on the stack is always located slightly in front of the leading edge (9a) of the pushed-on product (9'') and, together with the latter, moves upwards in the pushing-on direction (C) thereof. The stack (4) is therefore always under pressure, however the next product (9'') can be pushed on without being subject to the effect of pressure.
