PURPOSE: To simplify TV program reserving operation, by installing a timer key and memory key to a remote control transmitter for selecting TV programs.

CONSTITUTION: A switch 2 for channel, sound volume and power supply, a memory key 3 for setting reservation, a timer key 4 for setting power supply holding time, and a display 5 for set conditon of reservation are installed to a remote control transmitter 1. When the switch 2 and keys 3 and 4 are operated, a pulse code assingned from an encoder 6 is generated and tansmitted through a transmitting section 7. At a TV receiver, this signal is received 8 and stored in an RAM 10 after decoding 9, and then, a power supply circuit 11 is connected for a prescribed time by means of a signal from the RAM 10. At the same time, a channel is selected by means of a channel selecting circuit 12. Moreover, by means of a timer pulse from the RAM 10, a dividing ratio setting circuit 14 sets the dividing ratio of the clock frequency of a clock generator 13 and a counter 15 counts the clock. When the counting is completed, a terminate signal is sent to the RAM 10 and disconnection of power supply, selection of channels, etc., are performed.
