Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the size and to increase the efficiency of a switching regulator without damaging a power transistor by varying the voltage applied to a pulse transformer synchronously with the power transistor switching frequency. CONSTITUTION:A pulse transformer applying voltage controller 13 which has a 4-terminal regulator 11, a control transistor 12, resistors R4-R6 is provided between a diode bridge 8 and a controller 6. This transistor 12 is turned OFF for the prescribed period even if a signal for turning a power transistor 3 ON is produced from the controller 6. After the prescribed period, the transistor 12 is turned ON, and the voltage applied to the transformer 9 decreases.
